SUMMER AT A GLANCE

Summer greetings!

EVENT ENTERTAINMENT LEADERSHIP
Collaboration, Creativity, Good Execution

Creating memorable experiences happens when you pair creativity and a talented team of professionals, whether it is for a social celebration or to elevate a corporate brand at a company’s event.  Events are made to inspire, create and engage. And, today’s events must be even more creative, authentic, and experiential. Music helps – music that reflects authenticity, imagination and inspiration. Whether it is a cocktail or dinner reception to conclude a conference, a gala or an intimate reception, or a stage performance, live music will bring spark, energy, beauty and foster connectivity.

LB Entertainment helps create entertainment designed to enhance many types of events.  Our musical artists, LB’s multi-talented Mélange Jazz Collective and LB’s innovative and original live electronic act MïxT BeatZ bring delight to many audiences for many occasions. (Artist Closeup: http://www.lbentertainmentintl.com/2018/03/).

CREATIVITY IN MUSICAL SOUNDS
Mélange Jazz Collective Trio

Mélange Jazz Collective’s distinctive sound fuses various musical styles and backgrounds as varied as Jazz, blues, Latin, reggae, funk, new music, gospel, world. Music groups form for a variety of reasons – musical relationships, friendships and desire to perform together – but the group’s sound grows out of an understanding among the members about a collective’s musical direction and an acceptable musical outcome. Mélange’s cohesive sound reflects the collective’s close musical collaboration, history, group dynamics, improvisation. Each member expresses his individual voice and strives to engage the others to create a unified sound.

Members of Mélange Jazz Collective are a group of passionate collaborators who have performed together for over 10 years and have collaborated on several music projects. Their unique sound and style is the result of a long creative journey together that keeps developing.

“The joy of performing lies in the unexpected discovery of a new way of interpreting a tune, or in experiencing a spontaneous interaction between group members in the course of the performance that might take the tune in an unusual direction. Ultimately, a collective, informed and inspired improvisational experience might actually be considered even more successful if it leads into a kind of spontaneous musical arrangement, albeit one that is fleeting and unrepeatable. Progress might be measured by an ever-increasing number of these “arrangements” as we continue to perform together”. Steve Strawitz, Mélange Jazz Collective’s guitarist/violinist.

November Highlights

A word of thanks –

The holiday season is upon us! It’s a magical time of the year in Philadelphia with the city showing its colors at its best! As we reflect upon our musical journey over the year, we’re grateful to all our friends, fans, clients and dedicated audience for their support of our entertainment, music and musical artists.

A special thanks to all our musician friends for their creative collaboration and for sharing their art and the gift of music.

 Jazz in the neighborhood –

Jazz lives in many of our city’s neighborhoods, such as Germantown, Mt. Airy, Chestnut Hill, Center City, among others, in concert halls and in small places. We’re thrilled that our neighborhood, Old City, is burgeoning on the jazz scene as well as live music can be heard at a number of local clubs and at dining establishments, or at special events. We’re equally excited about the opportunity to perform in our own neighborhood at some of our favorite spots, private residences and at iconic venues: Sassafras, Wister, The Bridge, National Constitution Center, Independence Visitor Center, Pinot Boutique, Hotel Monaco, Philadelphia History Museum, Neighborhood Design Crawl, and more.

In their own words –

Creating memories – “Hello Danielle! I hope all is well with you and Laurent! Jason and I are coming up on our 1-year anniversary (November 11th) and as we reflect on that day we can’t help but think about Mélange Trio serenading our guests! The highlight of course being Laurent playing “It Might be you” on the saxophone as I walked down the aisle! Thanks again for making our wedding even more of a memorable experience!” (Jason and Dominique’s wedding ceremony and cocktail hour reception).

Jazz and Design – “Loved it! Bulthaup & Lema Studio was a perfect match for the exquisite sound of Mélange. And how special to be serenaded by Mélange as we dined outside just across the street.” (DesignPhiladelphia, Neighborhood Design Crawl, LEMA+ Bulthaup Studio, Old City).

Fall Entertainment Highlights

Welcome!

HEADING INTO FALL

Summer vibes may be ending soon but we’re excited about the return of a vibrant fall season in our city, a season filled with many events and happenings of every kind. We, at LB Entertainment, are thrilled to launch a new season of entertainment showcasing an array of great live music performed by outstanding musical artists.

WHAT WE DO

Our location in the heart of Old City, Philadelphia, puts us in the center of the area’s musical life. We are close to this area’s many arts organizations, entertainment and event venues, as well as near many professional musicians and many of our clients.

For more than 20 years, we have been building strong ties with both soloists and groups looking for “gigs” and with event planners looking to add a special musical experience. Whether the occasion be small and personal – a wedding or other family affair – or a big event staged by professionals in the hospitality or meeting industry, LB Entertainment can provide the right choice in musical style, ambiance and personality. We – and the musicians and performers we represent – have consistently come through for some of the best-known companies in our region and at some of its most prestigious venues. We have also booked many engagements outside the Greater Philadelphia area and even overseas.
